Only thing they even know about the situation is the little their higher-ups have told them. Not only are their lives at stake but they’re killing defenseless scientist’s. Marines: Based on voicelines and my basic knowledge of Opposing Force, the soldiers don’t want to be here either. They’re still alive when being controlled by the headcrabs but they also don’t wanna be doing what they’re doing. Their victims? These citizens/scientists/etc hate this situation as much as Gordon does. Headcrab zombies: Headcrabs themselves know exactly what they’re doing. Also I’m bad at putting my thoughts into words sidbejdbdb Feel free to correct me on any info I got wrong or add on. Now this is a very broad and doesn’t 100% apply to all the enemies I’m thinking of (I go into detail for each enemy below the cut). Thinkin’ about the Half- Life enemies and there seems to be a theme/pattern of “enemies fighting you against their will/without wanting to”.
